“Introducing Farmers” is a partnership between Woodlawn Farmers Market and East Multnomah Soil and Water Conservation District (EMSWCD). This program offers a one to four week selling period at our market. It is open to farmers in the East Multnomah District who have never sold at a market before.
We provide the all of the infrastructure you’ll need for your booth, the opportunity to lead a paid workshop, free use of our market token system, an optional meeting with the market managers for helpful tips and feedback, and access to our market sales tips.
Our goal is to lower the barriers and lower the risk for first time farm vendors at a farmers market.
We provide all the infrastructure necessary to run your booth including: 10’x10′ tent, tent weights, 2 six foot tables, chairs, vinyl banner, display materials, certified scale, and reduced vendor fee.
We offer one paid workshop to each participant of the Introducing Farmers Program. This is an opportunity for participants to gain extra income while sharing their farming practices and philosophies with their customers.
Market Sales Tips
Participates can enjoy free access to our compilation of Market Selling Tips. This living document details both layout and display suggestions, customer service skills, food safety, and more.
